FilmSchoolSF Free Day of Film School – 4

July 12, 2010

A couple days ago we put on our fourth FilmSchoolSF FREE Day of Film School. And it was awesome.

It had been several months since our last FREE Day and we were excited to put on another big show for a new group of people who had been unfamiliar with our school. We had our maximum number of guests RSVP’d a couple weeks before the  event and were working from a wait-list for the last several days prior. Seems folks are catching on to what an amazing opportunity we are providing.

Powered by fresh donuts and hot coffee, the talented FilmSchoolSF crew (Class 11) put on an informative and entertaining filmmaking demonstration for the packed house. From actors to hopeful Directors to inquisitive film kids of all backgrounds, the audience saw what kind of effort and technical focus go into shooting a professional-level film and asked great questions.

“The FilmSchoolSF FREE Day of Film School is such a great way to reach out to the Bay Area film community and invite them to see the nuts-and-bolts of filmmaking. Nothing compares to being front-row while a film is being made and it’s exciting to be an experienced resource for promising filmmakers, said FilmSchoolSF co-founder Stephen Kopels.

By exposing people to the timeless art and craft of filmmaking in an intimate, friendly environment, we hope to inspire people to take the first step to becoming a filmmaker,” Kopels finished.

Check out a bunch more photos on Facebook.

Did you miss it? The next FilmSchoolSF FREE Day of Film School will be held sometime in early December in our new location at 5th and Mission. Stay tuned.
