Scholarships
The San Francisco Film School is committed to cultivating diversity of backgrounds and experiences within our school community, and in the wider film industry. As such, we are proud to offer the following scholarships to our prospective students interested in completing either an AAS Degree or Professional Certificate in Digital Filmmaking.
The scholarships that we currently offer are:
SF Bay Area Filmmaker Scholarship
Purpose:
To award promising SF Bay area students demonstrating financial need (through completion of FAFSA).
Award:
Up to $9,000 for the AAS and up to $6,000 for the Professional Certificate
Aspiring Filmmaker Scholarship
Purpose:
To award domestic U.S. students in bridging tuition gaps and empowering their filmmaking journey.
Award:
Up to $9,000 for the AAS and up to $6,000 for the Professional Certificate
Global Filmmaker Scholarship
Purpose:
The Global Filmmaker Grant awards promising international students who plan to bring their unique cultural perspective and experience to their studies in filmmaking.
Award:
Up to $9,000 for the AAS and up to $6,000 for the Professional Certificate
Scholarships are awarded only after all other funding options have been exhausted and can only be used for tuition expenses.
